ABANDONING OPTION APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS

Vancouver, B.C. - (December 20, 2012 - TSX-V: ETM) Elm Tree Minerals Inc. (the "Company" or “Elm Tree”) is pleased to announce the following.

Romero Property

Further to its news release of June 20, 2012 announcing the acquisition of an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Romero Property situated near Nelson in south-eastern British Columbia, the Company, on further review of the transaction, has given notice to the Optionor that the Company is not pursuing the right to acquire the Property and, accordingly, has terminated the option agreement.

Appointment of Officers

The Board of Directors has appointed John Curle as President and Chief Executive Officer and Patrick Forseille as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of the Company. The appointments are pending TSX approval.
