CAVAN APPOINTS BERNARD LAPOINTE TO ADVISORY BOARD

August 15th, 2017 VANCOUVER, B.C. – CAVAN VENTURES INC. (V: CVN.H) (“Cavan”

or “the Company”) is pleased to welcome Bernard Lapointe to its newly formed Advisory

Board.

Mr. Lapointe has extensive experience in the resource sector. He holds a B.A. in geology from

the University of Québec (Montreal; 1980), a Masters degree in structural geology from the

University of Québec (Chicoutimi), and a Ph.D. in mineral resources from the Univer sity of

Québec (Chicoutimi).

He founded Arianne Resources (now named Arianne Phosphate TSX -V: DAN) in 1997 and

acted as CEO until 2013. Arianne Phosphate is developing one of the biggest Greenfield

igneous phosphate project in the world. Prior to Arianne, Bernard served as director of the

Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean Mining Fund and also acted as a geochemist analyst for the University

of Québec at Chicoutimi.

Currently Mr. Bernard is a semi-retired geologist, consultant and a private investor. He is a

lecturer at the University of Québec at Chicoutimi in the field of Exploration Financing and

has recently attended a short course in Germany on Geothermal Reservoir Engineering.
