FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TRIUS INVESTMENTS ANNOUNCES SALE OF INTERESTS IN ASSOCIATE

Fredericton, New Brunswick: November 9, 2015 – Trius Investments Inc. (TSXV:TRU) ("Trius" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce that it has completed the sale of its interests in an associate, Colt Builders Inc. ("Colt") a private Alberta company, to an arm's length private Alberta corporation (the "Purchaser"), for $500,000 in cash, a $65,000 promissory note and the assignment of Colt's interests in two Alberta law suits.

During 2013, the Company advanced $500,000 in funds to Colt, an Alberta company engaged in commercial framing which shared a number of common directors and officers with Trius, by way of a secured loan (the "Loan"). On December 31, 2013, Trius acquired 19.02% of the common shares and 100% of the outstanding preferred shares in Colt for $24 in cash and the conversion of a loan owed to Trius that had been assumed by Colt in the amount of $310,786. In addition, certain members of the board of directors of Trius acquired a further 40.9% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Colt through private holding companies.

In February 2014, the Company authorized a further $150,000 of indebtedness to Colt. On December 31, 2014, Trius recognized an impairment loss of $150,000 on the Loan balance and wrote off the interest accrued as a result of Colt's deteriorating financial condition. As of October 20, 2015, the aggregate balance of the Loan, with accrued interest, was $754,285.

On October 20, 2015 Trius entered into a purchase and sale agreement with Colt and the Purchaser, a private corporation wholly-owned by a shareholder of Colt who is otherwise unrelated to Trius, pursuant to which Trius disposed of its interests in Colt. In exchange for all of the common and preferred shares of Colt held by Trius and the assignment of the Loan to the Purchaser, the Company received from the Purchaser a cash payment of $500,000, a 6% secured promissory note in the principal amount of $65,000 due on October 20, 2017, and the assignment of Colt's interests in two law suits currently before the Alberta Courts, the value of which is unknown.
