Taranis Completes Exploratory Drilling at Borr Zone, Identifying Native Silver in Thor-260
Estes Park, Colorado, October 1, 2026 – Taranis Resources Inc. (“Taranis” or the “Company”) [TSX.V: TRO, OTCQB: TNREF] is pleased to report the successful completion of its initial drilling campaign aimed at defining geometry and continuity of the newly discovered Borr Zone. This new zone is located near surface 1.3 km southeast of the southernmost “Broadview Zone” of the Thor deposit. A total of 404.83m in 8 drill holes was completed and 160 drill core samples were collected during the program.
It was confirmed that an intercept of native silver, presenting as both wires and flakes, was made in drill hole Thor-260 at a depth of 28.2m. Despite having drilled over 22,000m to establish the polymetallic NI 43-101-Compliant Mineral Resource at Thor, Taranis has never before encountered native silver. This discovery highlights that while mineralization at Borr (Ag/Au/Zn/Cu/In) is clearly related to that found at Thor, several important differences have already been noted, and these are worthy of careful consideration and integration into expanded exploration plans.
Discussion
Exploration at Borr was centered around a precision drill program aimed at documenting the geometry, continuity and metal content of the zone in preparation for future definition-scale drilling. Ground and downhole geophysics were also completed, and this will provide additional targeting guidance once assay results are integrated into modeling of the zone. The Borr area is completely covered by rockslide material, including a large measure of glacial erratics, making geophysical surveying indispensable for targeting.
Qualified Person
Exploration activities at Thor were overseen by John Gardiner (P. Geo.), who is a Qualified Person under the meaning of Canadian National Instrument 43-101. John Gardiner is the principal of John J. Gardiner & Associates, LLC which operates in British Columbia under Firm Permit Number 1002256. Mr. Gardiner is the President and CEO of Taranis Resources inc. and has reviewed and approved the comments contained within this News Release.
About Taranis Resources Inc.
Taranis Resources (TSX.V: TRO | OTCQB: TNREF) has evolved beyond the profile of a traditional junior explorer. After 15 years of methodical exploration and compiling a massive database from over 250 drill holes to define a 43-101 Mineral Resource at Thor - and recently completing a 100% consolidation of the historic Silver Cup Mining District - the company is transitioning from "understanding the Thor deposit" to "unlocking district-scale” discovery potential.
Taranis’ core values include scientific rigor, highlighting exploration driven by state of art predictive targeting, 3-D geophysical inversions, and carefully controlled use of AI, as opposed to traditional surfacelevel prospecting. The Company prioritizes methodological, high-quality exploration over promotional shortcuts, and allocates funds “into the ground”.
