LITTLE SALMON/CARMACKS FIRST NATION AND STRATEGIC METALS LTD.
ANNOUNCE EXPLORATION BENEFITS AGREEMENT
Carmacks, Yukon Territory – November 29, 2018 – Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation (“LSCFN”) and
Strategic Metals Ltd. (TSX-V: SMD) (“Strategic”) are pleased to announce the signing of an Exploration
Benefits Agreement (“Agreement”).
The Agreement is intended to promote a cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship by providing a
framework for consultation pertaining to all exploration activities undertaken by Strategic within LSCFN
Traditional Territory, excluding Category A and B Lands as defined in the Umbrella Fina l Agreement.
LSCFN and Strategic acknowledge their shared interest s to provide economic opportunities while
addressing adverse effects that may be caused directly or indirectly by exploration.
“This Agreement signed by LSCFN and Strategic shows that our First Nation can work with the Mining
Industry, cooperatively to create business opportunities while mitigating environmental, socio-economic
and socio-cultural effects related to exploration activities. This demonstrates our positive attitudes and
willingness to work together,” states Chief Russell Blackjack of Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation.
“The Agreement is a positive step for both parties, because it recognizes the importance of early stage
consultation and sets out a path to a more comprehensive agreement should a project move from
exploration to development,” states Doug Eaton, President and CEO of Strategic.
Strategic currently holds 4 projects within LSCFN Traditional Territory: CD, King, Queen and LS.
