CANEX ENERGY ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

Vancouver B.C., Canex Energy Corp. ("Canex" or the "Company") (NEX Board: CSC.H) is pleased

to Announce the Appointment of Mr. Iain Butler to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Butler has over 25 years’ experience in various senior financial and general management roles. He is

currently with Kal Tire serving as the VP of Finance for their Mining group where he is a member of the

Board of Directors for Kal Tire’s International entities. Iain has completed multiple complex

acquisitions, both in Canada and abroad.

Iain has an Economics Degree from the University of Essex and is a member of the Chartered

Professional Accountants of BC and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

We are very pleased that Mr. Butler has joined our Board. His experience and advice will greatly

strengthen Canex’s strategic planning and marketing activities,” said Sherman Dahl President and CEO.

The Company further announces the resignation of Mr. Craig Schneider and wishes to thank him for his
