NEWS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION

Rock Tech’s Georgia Lake Lithium Project Ground Samples up to 7.22% lithium oxide ____________________________________________________________________________________

Vancouver, British Columbia, January 21, 2010 – Rock Tech Resources Inc. (TSX-Venture: RCK and Frankfurt: RJIA) (the "Company") is pleased to announce chemical assay results from 2009 ground exploration program at the Georgia Lake lithium properties in the Thunder Bay Mining District of northwest Ontario (the "Property").

The assay results indicate an average grade of 1.73% lithium oxide (Li2O) and up to 7.22%. Further, significant anomalous values of rare earth elements (REE), including up to 3.54% beryllium and 0.39% cesium were encountered.

Samples from the Company’s 2009 field program were collected from the Amaucho, Conway, Jean Lake, MNW, Foster Lew, Newkirk, McVittie and Nama Creek claim blocks of the Property. The chemical assay results being reported is a follow up to ground samples that were reported in the Company’s December 17, 2009 press release. Fieldwork was carried out in September 2009 and November 2009 with the objective of locating the historically reported spodumene bearing pegmatite occurrences and to initiate an exploration drill program.

More than 60% of the ground samples collected by the Company returned greater than 1% lithium oxide. The Company will proceed with an aggressive exploration and development program, consisting of a drill program to bring the historical lithium oxide resource estimate of 9 million tons with an average grade of 1.14% to NI43-101 standards, and metallurgical testing for producing lithium carbonate. Further, with nearly two-thirds of the ground samples returning 1,500 grams per metric tonne (g/t) rare earth elements, these results suggest there is considerable potential for significant multi-REE mineralization on the Property. A detailed table containing assay results are presented in the Appendix.

Highlights of the chemical assay results from field program include the following average grades from 30 samples:

  • Lithium Oxide (Li2O) at 1.73%, ranging from 1.05% to 7.22% in 17 samples.
  • Beryllium (Be) at 1,326.1 parts per million (PPM) or 1,326.1 g/t, ranging from 12 g/t to 35,400 g/t from 28 samples.
  • Cesium (Cs) at 183.5 PPM or 183.5 g/t, ranging from 17.1 g/t to 3,870 g/t from 28 samples.
  • Rubidium (Rb) at 514.7 PPM or 514.7 g/t, ranging from 29.4 g/t to 1,490.0 g/t from 30 samples.

In conjunction with fieldwork, the Company staked additional claims in the Georgia Lake area and conducted a drill program in December 2009. The Company is waiting for applied mineral claims to be granted by the Ontario Ministry of Mines, and the receipt of chemical assay results from drill cores. Further, Rock Tech has acquired the historical data from the drilling that was completed in the 1950s by past operators, and is in the process of compiling and analyzing this information.

Regarding the results, Paul Chow, President and CEO states, “We are very pleased by these results and the success of our field work. The Georgia Lake lithium property provides our shareholders with a project that can be developed to a mine stage for lithium in a relatively short timeframe and an exploration upside for rare earth elements.”

Technical information of this news release has been reviewed by Afzaal Pirzada, P.Geo., Vice President, Exploration of the Company and a Qualified Person as defined in NI43-101.

ABOUT GEORGIA LAKE LITHIUM PROJECT

Rock Tech’s 100% owned Georgia Lake Lithium Project is comprised of 23 mining claims covering 3,616 hectares in 226 units, and 61 mining leases covering 1,049 hectares area over eight claim blocks. Located 145 kilometres northeast of the city of Thunder Bay in northwest Ontario, the property is accessible by Provincial Highway 11 and the Thunder Bay to Longlac branch line of CN Railways. The properties cover 25 of approximately 50 known lithium bearing occurrences within the Georgia Lake area. Six of the eight areas have cumulative historical resource estimate of 9 million tons at 1.14% lithium oxide (note: historical resource estimate is not NI43-101 compliant) based on over 200 drill holes with a total of 33,000 metres diamond drilling carried out in the late 1950s. Underground development carried out during that period on the Nama Creek claim block included a vertical four-compartment shaft sunk to a depth of 153.3 meters (503 feet). Two mill tests conducted by previous operators on spodumene samples from Amaucho Block indicated that heavy media separation would yield 6.27% and 5.93% lithium with a recovery of about 90%. Rock Tech’s immediate plan is to bring the historical resource to current NI43-101 standards, and carry out development and metallurgical work to further expand on the historical work.
