Prospector Acquires Drill Ready Portfolio of Ni-Cu-

PGE Projects in Quebec:

Stakes 38,000 ha within the Southern Labrador Trough and Grenville

Domain, Quebec

Vancouver, BC October 18, 2022 P rospector Metals Corp. (“Prospector” or the “ Company”)

(TSXV: PPP; OTCQB: ETHOD; Frankfurt: 1ET) is pleased to announce that it has acquired a 100%

interest in three Ni-Cu projects in Quebec through staking as part of a broader Ni-Cu-PGE exploration

strategy with a focus on high- grade, conduit-hosted deposits hosted within under -explored large

igneous provinces such as the Grenville Domain and the Labrador Trough in Quebec. The targeting

strategy centers on technical re-evaluation of publicly available geologic and geophysical data to define

robust drill ready targets that have been overlooked (Figure 1).

Figure 1. Geological Provinces in Quebec.

Stated Jo Price, P. Geo, VP Ex. of Prospector: “The properties offer rare district scale opportunities in

largely unexplored portions of Quebec. These opportunities are a great example of the PPP strategy

to acquire district scale exploration projects which have been traditionally overlooked.”

Lac Manitou Project Highlights:

The Lac Manitou Property comprises 10,082 hectares acquired through staking, 85km NE of Sept Iles,

QC (Figure 2).

• U nderexplored ultramafic complex with existing publicly available 2008 helicopter -borne

AeroTEM II data.

• In a thorough review of the historical geophysical data ( conductor and decay contants (Tau)

amplitude, magnetic expression, shape and size, and taking into account the geologic setting,

including the proximity to known nickel -copper-PGE occurences), Prospector identified three

highly prospective conductors as potential initial drill targets that have seen no modern

exploration or drill testing todate.

• Strong prospective conductors are coincident with low angle faults and have a strike length of

greater than 200m. Locally, historical grab samples are reported to have assayed 1.26% Ni,

1.54% Cu & 0.87% Ni, 0.08% Cu.

Lac Nipisso Project Highlights:

The Lac Nipisso Property comprises 13,051 hectares acquired through staking, 80km NE of Sept Iles,

QC with Quebec Hydro Transmission lines crossing the western edge of the claim boundary (Figure

2).

• The Lac Nipisso project covers a series of elongate easterly to northeasterly trending

conductors up to 6km long identified on a 1997 Quebec Geologic Survey Dighem survey . A

portion of these conductors were also surveyed by a publicly available 20210 helicopter-borne

versatile time domain electromagnetic (VTEM) and aeromagnetic geophysical survey.

• The anomalies are mostly strike limited, showing an EM signature on and at the edges of

magnetic highs, further indicating the potential for Ni-Cu (Co-PGE) mineralization.

• The project is situated 6km north of the Lac Volant occurrence, a small, massive magmatic

sulfide body hosted trending coarse grained gabbronorite dyke with average grades of 2.3%

Cu, 1.9 % Ni and 0.1% Co discovered in 1996 by the Quebec Geologic Survey.

Lac Manitou and Lac Nipisso Project Overview

Rocks in the region are part of the allochthonous polycyclic belt of the Proterozoic Grenville Geologic

Province. These rocks comprise older Proterozoic gneisses and paragneisses intruded by 1.34 Ga

anorthosite complexes, which host gabbronoritic to troctolitic to pyroxenitic to peridotitic border phase

intrusions along their outer margins. The anorthosite complexes are of the same age and trans -

continental suite of rocks which host the Voisey’s Bay Ni -Cu deposits in Labrador to the east. The

anorthosite complexes and associated rock s are interpreted to have been emplaced in an

intracontinental extensional environment, which provided trans -crustal conduits for the emplacement

of high- Mg mafic magmas prospective for Ni -Cu-(Co-PGE) magmatic sulfide mineralization. The

Grenville Province contains a number of these anorthosite massifs and associated more mafic to

ultramafic rocks, as well as several other generations of mafic dykes, plutons, and complexes, all of

which have potential to host magmatic Ni -Cu (Co-PGE) deposits. The most prospective areas are

associated with major structures that transect or border the anorthosite complexes. Specific target

areas considered to be most prospective for Cu- Ni-(Co-PGE) deposits are associated with these

volumetrically subordinate mafic to ultramafi c portions of the otherwise dominantly anorthositic

complexes, and commonly exhibit coincident conductive electromagnetic anomalies and positive

magnetic anomalies. Grades of known massive magmatic sulfide occurrences elsewhere in the region,

such as the Lac Volant Ni-Cu occurrence, are in the range of 1.5% Ni and 2% Cu

Nemo Project Highlights:

The Nemo Property consists of 15,695 hectares acquired through staking, in the southern Labrador

Trough, QC, located 80 km northeast of Schefferville.

• District Scale – Property situated on the largely poorly explored north-central portion of the

Doublet Terrane, with abundant voluminous differentiated gabbro-peridotite sill-form intrusions

(Figure 3).

• Overlooked – Very underexplored, but with favorable mafic -ultramafic intrusions, and known

historical Ni-Cu magmatic sulfide occurrences in the northern block, associated with historical

frequency-domain EM anomalies, that have not been followed up with modern Time Domain

(VTEM) geophysics, detailed magnetics or drilling

• Proven Regional Endowment – A cluster of nine small bodies of magmatic sulphides , in

aggregate approximately 4.8 M tonnes @ 0.87% Cu, 0.52% Ni and 0.84 gpt PGE, with

individual deposits ranging from 0.03 M to 1.37 M tonnes, occur in the Blue Lake area in the

southern portion of the Doublet Terrane (LaFosse Platinum Group, 1989) , While this style of

sill-margin net -textured to massive magmatic mineralization is not the ultimate target of

Prospector’s planned exploration, it is nonetheless an important indicator of process and

prospectivity in the region.

Nemo Project Overview

The Nemo project comprises 15,695 ha located 80 km northeast of Schefferville and represents a rare

opportunity to acquire a large claim area of previously poorly explored mafic-ultramafic rocks within the

prospective Doublet Terrane of the Labrador Trough.

The Labrador Trough represents the easternmost segment of the 1.88-billion-year-old Circum-Superior

Large Igneous Province that, in its northern and western portions, hosts the largely well explored Cape

Smith and Thompson Nickel Belts respectively. However, the Trough remains one of the geologically

least thoroughly explored regions of Canada. It hosts voluminous mafic -ultramafic rocks of the

Montagnais Sill Complex, and attendant high -Mg basalts, t hat are related to the Ni-Cu-PGE

mineralised mafic-ultramafic rocks hosted in neighbouring segments, and exhibits abundant evidence

for hot, high-Mg melts and strong differentiation required for NI-Cu-PGM transport and deposition, as

well as hosting abundant sulphidic metasediments as a source of crustal sulphur to combine with the

magmatically derived metals . In addition, the Labrador Trough encompasses a large scale crustal-

penetrating northwest trending fault system at the margin of the Archean Superior Province that

provided ideal mineralising conduits for mantle-derived magmas. Exploration will focus on high-grade

conduit hosted Ni-Cu-PGM deposits hosted by potential feede r systems to the mafic -ultramafic sills,

that garner a high value, occupy a small footprint, and commonly occur in clusters . Historical

exploration largely focussed on outcropping occurrences of Ni- Cu-Fe sulphides along planar sill

margins where the mafic-ultramafic intrusions are in contact with sulphidic sedimentary rocks, and

comprised some frequency domain EM surveys and prospecting, with little to no drilling.

Planned Work Programs

Following a digital complication and audit of the available historical data for the project s, initial

Helicopter VTEM surveys may be flown, followed by prospecting programs to target and ground truth

mineralization with an emphasis on potential structural control s. Localized ground geophysics of

selected targets would likely follow should this be warranted to define highly conductive buried targets

in potential feeder systems.
