NEWS RELEASE Airborne ZTEM Survey over Copaquire & Huatacondo
December 14, 2010
VANCOUVER, B.C.– International PBX Ventures Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX.V:PBX) is pleased to announce that it has retained the services of Geotech Ltd. Airborne Geophysical Surveys of Aurora Ontario to undertake a Helicopter-borne ZTEM and Magnetic surveys on the Company’s Copaquire and Huatacondo copper molybdenum projects, located in northern Chile.
The ZTEM system is one of the leading airborne geophysical systems in use today and is particularly suited to identifying large conductive ore bodies. The ZTEM system is renowned for its deep penetration, high spatial resolution and ability to detect and differentiate weak electro-magnetic anomalies at depths up to 1,500 metres.
PBX President & CEO, George Sookochoff stated “We are very excited to be conducting our first exploration program on the entire Huatacondo property located 8km west of our Copaquire property as well as conducting this survey over the remaining unexplored areas of the Copaquire property. The ZTEM survey will continue where the recent Titan Deep Penetration IP Survey left off by delineating ore bodies to depth over the entire Copaquire property“
The Company has the benefit of initially flying the survey over known mineralization at Cerro Moly, enabling it to determine the particular signature of the mineralized zone and extrapolating this response to other areas in the Copaquire and Huatacondo properties.
The airborne survey will also be integral in further defining high priority drill targets in preparation for the upcoming drill program.
The airborne geophysical survey will consist of over 500 line kilometres to be flown at 200-metre line spacing. It is anticipated that the survey will be initiated within the next three weeks and will take four to five days to complete.
