NEWS RELEASE

Patriot Petroleum Corp. to sell Garrington Assets

Vancouver, March 3, 2010 – Patriot Petroleum Corp. (“Patriot”) (TSXV: PPC), has entered into a letter of intent to sell Patriot's existing wells, petroleum rights, and related facilities in the Garrington, Alberta area to an arms-length party for $1.0 million. Patriot's Garrington assets produce approximately 13 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The transaction is subject to closing conditions precedent including receipt of regulatory approvals. The effective date of the transaction upon successful closing will be January 1, 2010. No finder's fee is payable in connection with this transaction.

The disclosure regarding barrels of oil equivalent uses a conversion ratio of 6,000 cubic feet of natural gas to one barrel of oil and one barrel of natural gas liquids to one barrel of oil. Note that barrels of oil equivalent may be misleading, particularly if used in isolation. A barrel of oil equivalent conversion ratio of 6,000 cubic feet of gas to one barrel of oil is based on an energy equivalency conversion method primarily applicable at the burner tip and does not represent a value equivalency at the wellhead.

Patriot intends to use the proceeds of the transaction for general working capital.

Patriot Petroleum Corp. is an oil and gas issuer with its common shares listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
