Playfair Drills Turning in Ireland

Playfair Mining’s 2nd phase drill program is underway on its new gold discovery in the

Ox Mountains in County Sligo, Republic of Ireland.

The program will carry on over the summer with the first results anticipated to be

available mid-September.

The drill program is focused on the CAZ (Cloonacool Alteration Zone) structure as

defined by the 2016 exploration.

Playfair has only tested a very sma ll part of the new gold discovery in the very large

structure at Cloonacool. Playfair’s 2016 drill program which completed 947 metres of

core drilling in 9 holes was the first ever in the area.

The primary focus of this year’s 3000 meter phase of drilling is within the 1.5 km long

portion of the structure proximal to the gold bearing angular blocks that originally

focused exploration efforts on this area and led to the discovery of gold in bedrock.

The drilling will first test the structure at depth and a long strike to the west of the

previous drilling where gold was discovered within an envelope of hydrothermal

alteration. The mineralization is orogenic and, as such, is expected to continue to depth.

The exploration on the balance of the 4.5 km long structure will be results-driven.
