TUMI STAKES THE ESPERANZA CLAIM, SONORA, MEXICO
Vancouver, Canada – Tumi Resources Limited (the “Company”) (TSXV-TM; Pink Sheets – TUMIF; Frankfurt - TUY). Mr. David Henstridge, President and CEO, announces the staking of the Esperanza claim located about 25 km east of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. This claim is located within an area of extensive copper skarn mineralization at the contact between limestones and a granitic intrusive.
The Company has so far collected 52 rock chip samples ranging from 0.4m to 5.0m in width. Results ranged from trace amounts to 2.5% copper over 3.0m. At the main working, a composite of four samples over an apparent width of 12m averaged 1.13% Cu, and the hanging wall of the skarn was not penetrated at the end of the adit.
Mr Henstridge stated, “The Company has staked this small but strategically located claim within an extensive area of known copper-bearing skarn mineralization. However, in the short term, the Company continues to focus on advancing the Mezquite silver-lead-zinc property to the drill ready stage”.
The qualified person for Tumi’s projects, David Henstridge, a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, has verified the contents of this news release.
