Ocean Park Discovers a 9 Kilometre Gold Trend – The “Golden Range” at Chisna

“Golden Range” Rock Samples Return Up To 50.4 g/t Gold, Soils Return Up To 6.5 g/t Gold

January 18 2011, Vancouver, BC – Paul Matysek, acting President and Chairman of Ocean Park Ventures Corp. (TSX Venture - OCP) is pleased to announce discovery of a 9 kilometre gold enriched trend at the Chisna Project, south central Alaska. The Golden Range target is

defined by subcrop values of up to 50.4 g/t gold and soil values of up to 6.5 g/t gold. Reconnaissance sampling was undertaken mainly along ridge-tops and sampled material is inferred to be largely in place, coinciding with an extensive gossanous iron carbonate alteration zone.

Golden Range – Large Continuous Gold Trend Defined By Bedrock and Soils

The Golden Range target, formerly referred to as Indian Pass, is located 5 kilometres north of the Grubstake porphyry copper gold discovery. A largely continuous gold anomaly has been defined by a series of over 300 rock and soil samples taken across a 9+ kilometre by 2+ kilometre area. Reconnaissance sampling took place mostly along topographic crests, where sampled material is inferred to be approximately in place. Rock samples average 0.60 g/t

gold over this entire area, with 29 of 151 samples returning over 100 ppb (0.10 g/t) gold, and having a high value of 50.4 g/t gold. These samples returning over 100 ppb gold are present across the entire 9 kilometre strike length of the Golden Range target, as shown in Figure 1.

A total of 71 of the 176 soil samples taken across the same area returned greater than 100 ppb (0.10 g/t) gold, with all samples having an average of 0.23 g/t gold, and a high value of 6.53 g/t gold.

These elevated gold results occur within a highly gossanous iron-carbonate altered Jurassic volcanic rock package and appear to follow a strong northwest to southeast trend that likely has a dual structural and hydrothermal origin.

The Golden Range target will be a priority follow-up of the 2011 exploration program in Alaska. Phase 1 will consist of detailed geological mapping, and expansion of bedrock and soil sampling grids, leading to a Phase 2 diamond drill program dependent on timing and results.

Southwest Grubstake – Gold-Silver-Lead-Zinc Mineralized Vein System Discovered

A second new high grade gold system was also discovered on the southwest side of the Grubstake target. A series of sub-parallel up to 2 metre wide quartz-dolomite-barite veins occur within a 600+ metre mineralized trend and contain polymetallic mineralization returning up to 46.5 g/t gold with accompanying silver, lead and zinc.

A series of en-echelon quartz-dolomite-barite veins on the southwest side of the Grubstake target have returned high grade gold values from a polymetallic gold-silver-lead-zinc mineralized, structurally controlled system. Veins range from tens of centimeters to 2 metres in thickness and strike north-northeast to northeast within a northwest to southeast mineralized trend with a mapped exposure in excess of 600 metres. 19 rock samples derived from in

place quartz-dolomite-barite boulder trains and outcrop returned an average of 7.38 g/t gold, 8.82 g/t silver, 0.91% lead and 0.16% zinc, with highs of 46.5 g/t gold, 29.8 g/t silver, 4.22% lead and 1.22% zinc across separate samples.

Mapping of vein lengths and density, and determination of the relationship between this veined mineralization and the adjacent Grubstake copper-gold porphyry system will be a primary focus of 2011 exploration in advance of drilling.

Final 2010 POW and Grubstake Drill Results

The remaining analytical results have been returned from the final POW target drill hole, which was lost prematurely in a fault, within a zone of generally increasing copper-gold mineralization. Results are summarized in Table 1.

Results have also been returned from four reconnaissance diamond drill holes at the Grubstake target. Drill holes GS-10-02, GS-10-04, GS-10-05 and GS-10-06 all encountered pyritic porphyry related alteration, but did not intersect significant mineralized intervals.

“The discovery of multiple high grade gold targets at Chisna adds an exciting new dimension to this project”, said Paul Matysek, acting President of Ocean Park, “With these new discoveries, Chisna is emerging as the leading new district scale gold exploration play in southern Alaska”.

The Chisna Project is a Joint Venture between Ocean Park's wholly owned subsidiary Ocean Park Alaska Corp. and Corvus Gold Inc. (“Corvus”)(TSX: KOR). Ocean Park's 51 % interest in the Joint Venture is earned by its US$20M contribution for exploration expenditures over a 5 year period. Ocean Park may earn an additional 19% for a total of 70% by producing a bankable feasibility that delineates a mining project on the Chisna property that produces at least 300,000 gold equivalent ounces per year. Ocean Park’s second principal asset is the Trapper gold project in northern British Columbia, where it has an Option and Joint Venture Agreement with Constantine Metal Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: CMR) to earn a 50% interest by completing $4.75M of exploration expenditures, paying 1M shares and making maximum cash payments of $375,000 over four years. Ocean Park may earn an additional 20% interest for a total of 70% by completing an additional $5M in exploration expenditures and making a payment of 500,000 shares by December 2015.

Subject to regulatory approval, the Company also announces that it has agreed to issue up to 104,444 common shares to Axemen Resource Capital Ltd. as a finder’s fee in connection with its previously announced option agreement with Constantine Metal Resources Ltd. An aggregate of 82,333 shares are issuable in the first year, with the balance being issuable throughout the course of the option.
