Desert Star Announces Management Changes
Vancouver, B.C., February 1, 2017. Desert Star Resources Ltd. (TSX -V: DSR) (“Desert Star” or the
“Company”) is pleased to announce the appointments of Rob Duncan as Chief Operating Officer , Rory
Kutluoglu as Vice President of Exploration and Eva Nakano as Corporate Development.
Mr. Duncan brings over 26 years of experience in the mineral exploration business to Desert Star. He has
worked for both major producers, including Rio Tinto and Inmet Mining Corp., and junior explorers, such
as Rimfire Minerals/Kiska Metals Corp. and Evrim Resources Corp., where he held senior management
positions and was an integral part of generative exploration, project evaluations and join t venture
negotiations.
Mr. Kutluoglu is a Professional Geoscientist with over a decade of exploration experience in a wide variety
of commodities across North America. He was Exploration Manager for Kaminak Gold Corp. from 2012
to 2015, where he was inst rumental in delivering the maiden resource, positive preliminary economic
assessment and positive feasibility study for the Coffee Gold Project, Yukon, subsequently acquired by
Goldcorp Inc. in 2016.
Ms. Nakano has been involved in mineral exploration and mining for over 10 years. Her experience spans
all phases of exploration and a wide range of deposit types . In her previous role at B2Gold Corp. she
contributed to project evaluations and resource delineation which led to the successful acquisition of several
key projects, advancing the company towards mid-tier status. Ms. Nakano brings to the Company a strong
foundation in financial modelling and business strategy.
