regarding possible changes to DRC mining code

TORONTO, CANADA – Ivanhoe Mines (TSX: IVN; OTCQX: IVPAF) announced today that it is

aware of recent media reports regarding possible changes to the mining code in the

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Ivanhoe notes that there have been no changes implemented into law. Ivanhoe plans to issue

a further statement in the near future.
