GEONOVUS CLOSED PRIVATE PLACEMENT

April 7, 2014, VANCOUVER, B.C. – GEONOVUS MINERALS CORP. (TSX-V:GNM) (the “Company”) announces that, further to its news release dated March 10, 2014, the Company increased and completed its non-brokered private placement of 1,574,500 units (the "Units") at a price of $0.05 per Unit for gross proceeds of $78,725 (the "Offering").

Each Unit is comprised of one common share (a "Share") and one Share purchase warrant (a "Warrant") of the Company. Each Warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one Share (a “Warrant Share”) at a price of $0.075 per Warrant Share until April 8, 2016.

All securities issued pursuant to the private placement are subject to a hold period expiring on August 9, 2014.
