Invesco announces fund strategy enhancement, fund name change
Lowers risk rating on Invesco Global Bond Fund in Canada
Toronto, July 28, 2017 – Invesco Canada (“Invesco”) today announced modifications to
its lineup of mutual funds. Invesco regularly conducts reviews of its products to ensure they
continue to meet the evolving needs of advisors and investors. The following changes will be
made in the final filing of Invesco’s simplified prospectus.
Investment strategy update
The investment strategy of Trimark Global Balanced Fund/Class will be amended to provide
the portfolio management team the flexibility to invest in underlying fixed-income funds, in
addition to direct securities for the fixed-income sleeve of the strategy.
The change is expected to result in increased trading efficiency, as the portfolio
management team can execute adjustments to the Funds without buying or selling the
underlying securities in smaller quantities.
Fund name change
The name of Invesco Intactive Strategic Yield Portfolio will be changed to Invesco Strategic
Yield Fund. As an income-oriented investment, the Fund’s name is being changed to
highlight the Fund’s focus on yield.
Lower risk rating
Invesco has adjusted the risk rating for Invesco Global Bond Fund in Canada from “Low to
Medium” to “Low.” The new rating on the Fund better reflects its volatility.
