Tatmar Acquires Carlin-style Gold Property

Vancouver, British Columbia – Tatmar Ventures Inc. (TSX.V – TAT)

January 13, 2010

Tatmar Ventures Inc. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce it has executed a mining lease agreement with Genesis Gold Corporation with an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Golden Brew claims (the “Property”) located in Lander County, Nevada. Golden Brew encompasses a 3.5 square mile area of land prospective for Carlinstyle gold mineralization that has only been superficially explored by previous owners including eight shallow drill holes totaling 2,885 feet that were completed in 1989.

Mineralization identified on the Property consists of gold and silver bearing jasperoids in thin bedded Paleozoic limestones and limy siltstones within the Crane Canyon sequence. This unit is cut by several north-south and westnorthwest trending faults. Jasperoid and silicified breccias are developed preferentially along west-northwest faults over a strike length of at least 2,500 feet. Rock chip sampling of this material has returned several +1 grams per tonne gold assays with a maximum of 2.18 grams per tonne gold. Other pathfinder elements present within Carlintype systems are strongly anomalous. Previous soil sampling identified widespread anomalies in the vicinity of mineralized outcrops along the west-northwest fault zone and many of these soil anomalies remain open for further possible expansion.

Work planned for the Property includes detailed geologic mapping, structural interpretation as well as geophysical studies to establish drill targets, planned to commence as soon as weather and permitting allow.

The mining lease is for a term of fifteen years, and for so long thereafter as the Company is engaged in mineral development, mining or reclamation and closure activities on the Property, subject to earlier termination by the parties in accordance with the mining lease agreement. The terms of the mining lease agreement include an initial payment to the optionor of US$10,000 on execution of the mining lease agreement. The Company has also agreed to pay to the optionor lease payments (the “Lease Payments”) of US$15,000 on the first anniversary of execution of the mining lease agreement, US$25,000 on the second and third anniversaries and escalating Lease Payments thereafter until production is achieved or the mining lease agreement has terminated. The Company has an option which may be exercised at any time during the mining lease agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Property for the purchase price of US$2,000,000 (the “Purchase Price”), subject to a 2% net smelter returns royalty. The Company may not place the Property into production without paying the optionor the Purchase Price in full. All Lease Payments made by the Company will be applied to the Purchase Price. The Royalty will be reduced to one percent of net smelter returns at such time as the Company has paid US$4,000,000 to the optionor in royalty payments. The acquisition is an arm’s length transaction.

The Company also announces that it has negotiated an extension on its obligations due under an option agreement on the Lookout property located in southeastern British Columbia. Management is continuing to seek a joint venture partner for the project.
