CALGARY, ALBERTA – December 14, 2017 - Guardian Exploration Inc. (“Guardian” or the

“Corporation”) (TSX Venture: GX) announces the resignation of S imran Mehta as the Corporation’s

Chief Financial Officer. The board of directors would like to thank Mr. Mehta for his efforts over the

course of his engagement with Guardian.

In addition, Guardian is pleased to announce the engagement of Mr. Roger Jewett, CA as the new

Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. An unconventional Chartered Accountant, Mr. Jewett has

developed a unique combination of entrepreneurial, leadership, financial, marketing and public relation

skills over the past 25 years while leading several public and private companies through financial

turnarounds and periods or rapid growth. Mr. Jewett is past CF O o f N e w L e a f T r a v e l , a l o w c o s t

scheduled airline, Enerjet, a Boeing 737 charter operator, and Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, a

Canadian ski hill operator and resort developer. Mr. Jewett i s also past President and CFO of Jump On

Flyaways, a crowdsourced air service, Rare Method, a publicly t raded interactive marketing firm and

UFX Enterprises, a publicly traded industrial services company.
