NEWS RELEASE
RESULTS OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
June 30, 2010 - Vangold Resources Ltd.’s (TSXV:VAN) (“Vangold” or the “Company”) shareholders approved all resolutions brought before them at the Company's Annual General Meeting ("AGM") held in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 25, 2010.
The Company provides the following report on the voting results of the matters considered at the AGM, the particulars of which are set out in more detail in the Company's information circular, dated May 25, 2010:
- Election of Directors: Dal Brynelsen, Michael Mackey, Donald Padgett and James Passin stood for election and were duly re-elected as directors of the Company for the ensuing year.
- Appointment and Remuneration of Auditors: Ernst & Young LLP, Chartered Accountants were re-appointed the auditor of the Company for the ensuing year and the directors were authorized to fix their remuneration.
- Approval of Stock Option Plan: Shareholders approved a new option plan which authorized the Company to grant options up to 20% of the currently issued and outstanding common shares.
The directors held a meeting immediately following the Annual General Meeting and appointed the following officers:
Dal Brynelsen: President and CEO Sandy Huntingford: CFO and Corporate Secretary.
