GSP Resource Corp. Provides 2026 Year-to-Date Summary and Fall Outlook as First Assays from Step-Out Drilling at the Alwin High-Grade GOLD Discovery Approach
GSP RESOURCE CORP. PROVIDES 2026 YEAR-TO-DATE SUMMARY
AND FALL OUTLOOK AS FIRST ASSAYS FROM STEP-OUT DRILLING
AT THE ALWIN HIGH-GRADE GOLD DISCOVERY APPROACH
News Release - Vancouver, British Columbia – September 1, 2026: GSP Resource Corp. (TSX-V:
GSPR / FSE: 0YD / OTC: GSRCF) (the “Company” or “GSP”) provides a summary of the
Company’s activities completed to date in 2026 and an outlook for the fall 2026 exploration season.
In the first eight months of the year the Company financed, permitted and completed an expanded
1,801 metre Phase 1 diamond drilling program at its 100%-owned Alwin Mine and Mer properties in
the Highland Valley Copper Camp of British Columbia, anchored by four step-out holes designed to
expand the high-grade gold discovery made in late 2024 at Alwin, and regained a 100% interest in its
Olivine Mountain copper-gold-PGE property in the Similkameen Mining Division. All Phase 1 drill
core has been logged, sampled and submitted for analysis, and the first assay results – from the Alwin
high-grade gold target – are anticipated in September.
2026 Year-to-Date Highlights
Four step-out holes (approximately 1,150 metres) completed at the Alwin high-grade
gold discovery: The holes were designed to flank and extend 2024 discovery hole AM-24-06,
which returned 5.04 g/t gold and 1.01% copper over 7.90 metres, including 22.93 g/t gold and
1.82% copper over 1.64 metres, within which an individual 0.84 metre sample assayed 35.1
g/t gold (1.02 oz/ton) (see news releases dated January 16, 2025 and April 29, 2026). Each
2026 hole yielded mineralized zones with visual characteristics similar to the 2024 discovery
core and consistent with the modelled mineral resource vein lodes.
Gold is not yet in the Alwin resource: The Alwin Project hosts an inferred mineral resource
of 1.46 million tonnes at 1.08% copper, containing 34.6 million pounds of copper, estimated
on copper only (Independent NI 43-101 Technical Report, Alwin Copper-Silver-Gold
Project, effective September 16, 2024, prepared by APEX Geoscience Ltd. and filed under the
Company’s profile on SEDAR+). Potentially significant gold and silver values have long
been known at Alwin, but a lack of historic precious metal assays prior to drilling by GSP has
precluded their inclusion in resource estimation (see news release dated April 29, 2026). The
2024 discovery lies approximately 40 metres below the current resource pit shell.
High-grade gold-silver-copper at surface: Fall 2025 surface rock sampling at the Alwin
Apex Zone returned grab sample assays including 1.85% copper, 348 g/t silver and 2.6 g/t
gold (see news release dated November 26, 2025). Grab samples are selective by nature and
are not necessarily representative of the mineralization hosted on the property.
1,801 metres drilled across eight diamond drill holes: Phase 1 drilling at Alwin and Mer
was completed on August 11, 2026, approximately 20% above the upper end of the planned
1,200 – 1,500 metre program, with the expansion driven by alteration and mineralization
observed in drill core (see news release dated August 11, 2026).
Maiden diamond drilling at the Mer porphyry copper target: Four holes totalling
approximately 651 metres constituted the first diamond drilling at Mer since a single historic
hole in 1966. All four holes intersected near-surface visible copper mineralization, and hole
ME-26-04 was extended to 292.7 metres – the deepest hole completed at the property to date.
Assay results are pending.
2,432 core samples submitted to ALS Canada Ltd., Kamloops: All Phase 1 core has been
logged and sampled for multi-element and precious metals analysis, including gold by fire
assay. Assay results are expected in stages from September through October 2026, with
results from the Alwin high-grade gold target anticipated first.
$1.22 million over-subscribed private placement: Closed May 14, 2026, comprising
3,633,333 flow-through shares at $0.15 and 5,625,000 units at $0.12, with flow-through
proceeds directed to exploration at Alwin and Mer eligible for the Critical Mineral
Exploration Tax Credit (see news release dated May 14, 2026).
Five-year Mer drilling permit received: A multi-year area based (MYAB) permit for the
Mer property was received on April 22, 2026, providing for the year-one program now
completed and for anticipated expansion drilling over the following four years.
100% interest in Olivine Mountain copper-gold-PGE property retained: On August 21,
2026 the Company announced the termination of a third-party option on its 29-title,
approximately 3,022 hectare Olivine Mountain property, where a historic select surface
sample from the Hop showing assayed 23.0 g/t gold, 89.5 g/t silver and 7.49% copper (see
news releases dated December 11, 2018 and August 21, 2026). Select samples are by their
nature not representative of mineralization hosted on the property.
Three 100%-owned projects totalling approximately 3,782 hectares in southwestern
British Columbia: the Alwin Mine property (approximately 575 hectares) and the Mer
property (approximately 185 hectares) in the Kamloops Mining Division, and the Olivine
Mountain property (approximately 3,022 hectares) in the Similkameen Mining Division.
Simon Dyakowski, Chief Executive Officer of GSP, commented: “The high-grade gold discovery we
made at Alwin in late 2024 changed how we think about the project. Alwin has always been a copper
story – the current resource is estimated on copper alone – yet hole AM-24-06 returned nearly 23 g/t
gold over 1.64 metres, with an individual sample over an ounce per tonne, sitting just 40 metres below
the pit shell, and our fall 2025 surface sampling added 2.6 g/t gold with 348 g/t silver at the Apex
Zone. This year we set out to drill 1,200 to 1,500 metres and finished with 1,801, because the rocks
kept giving our geologists reasons to keep drilling. Four holes now flank the gold discovery, every
one of them logged mineralized zones visually similar to the 2024 core, and they are first in line at the
lab. Alongside that, we completed the first diamond drill test of the Mer porphyry copper target in
sixty years and brought Olivine Mountain back into the portfolio at no cost. With a funded treasury
and every hole at the ALS lab, the fall will be defined by results.”
Alwin High-Grade Gold Target – The Story to Date
Late 2024 – Discovery: West-side step-out hole AM-24-06 intersected 5.04 g/t gold and
1.01% copper over 7.90 metres, including 22.93 g/t gold and 1.82% copper over 1.64 metres
(157.36 – 159.00 m), approximately 40 metres below the vertical projection of the modelled
“3 Zone” copper resource. The estimated true width of mineralization is approximately 75%
of the drilled width. The gold zone is visually distinct from the broader copper lodes, marked
by intense, texturally destructive black chlorite-sericite alteration (see news releases dated
January 16, 2025 and April 29, 2026).
Summer 2025 – Geophysics: An NSAMT (natural-source audio-frequency magneto-
telluric) survey identified an untested deep conductive anomaly in the northern portion of the
Alwin property, which could indicate a potential underlying porphyry source for the high-
grade copper-gold-silver mineralization (see news release dated August 12, 2025).
Fall 2025 – Surface sampling and hyperspectral analysis: Rock grab sampling returned
high-grade values at the Apex Zone, including 1.85% copper, 348 g/t silver and 2.6 g/t gold,
and TerraSpec® hyperspectral analysis yielded muscovite and chlorite compositions
indicative of a peripheral porphyry environment at Alwin (see news releases dated November
26, 2025 and December 16, 2025).
2026 – Step-out drilling: Four diamond drill holes totalling approximately 1,150 metres
were drilled to test laterally and vertically beyond AM-24-06 to confirm the structural setting
of the gold zone and to extend into additional modelled copper lodes in the structural footwall
to the north. Core observations identified several quartz-chlorite-sericite and chalcopyrite-
pyrite (±bornite) mineralized zones in each hole with visual characteristics similar to the 2024
discovery core (see news releases dated July 8 and August 11, 2026).
The occurrence of high-grade gold below the modelled copper resource supports the Company’s
interpretation that the two mineralization styles are structurally and genetically linked and can be
targeted within the existing Alwin geological model, presenting an opportunity to augment the open
pit and underground copper resource with high-grade gold values. Visual estimates of mineralization
and descriptions of alteration should not be considered a proxy or substitute for laboratory analyses.
Assay results are required to determine the presence and grade of any mineralization, and the
Company cautions that visual observations provide no assurance as to the results of pending
laboratory assays.
Mer Porphyry Copper Target – Maiden Drill Program
The Mer property comprises 185 hectares located approximately 1.5 km northwest of the Alwin Mine
and approximately 6 km west of the Valley Pit at Teck Resources’ Highland Valley Copper
operations, and is surrounded by Teck’s Highland Valley Copper claim group directly west and south
of the mine’s active operations. Mineralization present within Teck Resources’ Highland Valley
operations is not necessarily indicative of mineralization on the Company’s properties. Historic
percussion drilling at the Mer showing in the late 1960s returned intercepts including 30 metres
averaging 0.53% copper, and the Company’s 2025 soil program defined a 175 x 120 metre copper-in-
soil anomaly open to the northwest (see news releases dated March 13, 2025 and January 26, 2026).
The four 2026 Mer holes (approximately 651 metres) were the first diamond drilling at the target
since 1966. Drill core displayed fracture-related potassic, chloritic (propylitic) and silicification
alteration hosted in granodiorite of the Guichon Creek Batholith, with trace sulphide mineralization
observed through broad intervals of hole ME-26-04, which was extended to a final depth of 292.7
metres and terminated in trace-mineralized granodiorite.
Fall 2026 Outlook
Staged assay results, September – October 2026: Phase 1 assay results will be released as
they are received, compiled and verified by the Company’s qualified person, with results from
the four Alwin high-grade gold step-out holes anticipated first, followed by the Mer holes.
Data integration and targeting: Assay results will be integrated with the Company’s
existing geophysical, geochemical, hyperspectral (TerraSpec®) and drilling datasets across
the combined Alwin-Mer property position, including the untested deep NSAMT conductor
at Alwin, to guide targeting for subsequent programs.
Phase 2 drilling decision: Subject to the results of Phase 1, available funds and market
conditions, the Company expects to evaluate and plan a second phase of drilling at the Alwin-
Mer properties during the fall exploration season, consistent with the program outlined in the
Company’s news release dated April 29, 2026.
Olivine Mountain: The Company will evaluate the two-phase follow-up exploration
program recommended in the 2020 NI 43-101 technical report on the Olivine Mountain
copper-gold-PGE property (see news release dated August 21, 2026).
