FIRST QUANTUM MINERALS ANNOUNCES NOTICE OF REDEMPTION OF THE ENTIRE
OUTSTANDING AMOUNT OF ITS 7.00% SENIOR NOTES DUE FEBRUARY 15, 2021

TORONTO, Ontario (January 16, 2020) - First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM) today announced that it has issued a notice
of redemption for all of its outstanding 7.00% Senior Notes due February 15, 2021 ( Rule 144A: ISIN US335934AF20; CUSIP
335934 AF2; Reg S: ISIN USC3535CAD05; CUSIP C3535C AD0 ) (the “2021 Notes”) on February 15, 2020 (the “Redemption
Date”). The aggregate principal amount outstanding of the 2021 Notes is $300 million.
The 2021 Notes will be redeemed at a price (the “Redemption Price”) of 100.00% of the principal amount thereof, plus
accrued and unpaid interest to the Redemption Date . The Redemption Price will be payable to holders of r ecord as of
January 31, 2020.
