EMGOLD GRANTS STOCK OPTIONS

(TSX-V: EMR) (OTC:EGMCF) (Frankfurt:EMLN) ( “Emgold” or the " Company") announces the
grant of 3.0 million incentive stock options (the “ Options”), pursuant to its Stock Option Plan (the
“Plan”), to directors, officers, employees, and consultants of the Company. The Options are exercisable
at a price of C$0.15 per common share of the Company for a period of 5 years from the date of grant.
Any shares issued upon the exercise of the Options will be subject to a statutory four-month hold period
from the date of the issuance. The Option grant is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
