LAC LA HACHE, BC ‐ GWR Resources Inc. (the “Company” or “GWR”) announces its inability to meet its 2012 Annual Financial filing deadline of January 28, 2013 due to inability to access accounting records for the last two weeks of September 2012 following the departure of its prior CFO.
The Company’s current CFO Megan Allen C.A., in January 2013 obtained the necessary accounting records to complete year end statements to September 30th, 2012. Ms. Allen is in the process of preparing the accounting documentation for the year‐end audit to be performed. This process is anticipated to be complete before February 8, 2013.
Due to the delay in provision of financial information from the Company to its external auditors BDO Canada LLP beyond the time originally scheduled for audit review, the completion of the external audit has been delayed. The external audit is anticipated to be complete prior to March 30, 2013.
On January 23, 2013, GWR applied to the BCSC for a Management Cease Trade Order and confirms it will comply with the alternative information guidelines described in section 4.3 and 4.4 of NP 12‐203 so long as it remains in default of the specified requirement for continuous financial disclosure.
The Company’s interim financial statements for the first quarter ended December 31, 2012 will be filed immediately after the 2012 annual financials are filed.
