DEFENSE METALS CORP. CLOSES PRIVATE PLACEMENT

News Release - Vancouver, British Columbia – January 8, 2021 : Defense Metals Corp. (“ Defense

Metals” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: DEFN/ DFMTF: OTCQB / 35D: FSE) is pleased to announce that on

January 8, 2021 it closed a non-brokered private placement (the “Private Placement”) of 1,000,000 units

(each a “ Unit”). The Private Placement was completed at a price of $0.20 per Unit for gross proceeds of

$200,000. Each Unit is comprised of one common share and one transferable common share purchase

warrant (“Warrant”). Each Warrant is exercisable to purchase one common share of the Company at a price

of $0.30 per share for a period of 12 months from the date of closing the Private Placement.

All securities issued pursuant to the Private Placement are subject to a four month hold period from the

closing date in accordance with applicable securities laws. The proceeds from the Private Placement will be

used for working capital and work on the Company’s Wicheeda rare earth element project located in Prince

George, British Columbia.
