Super Copper Commences Phase 2 Geophysics at the Castilla Project - PR Newswire Canada

VANCOUVER, BC, Sept. 8, 2026 /CNW/ -- SUPER COPPER CORP. (CSE: CUPR) (OTCQB: CUPPF) (FSE: N60) ("Super Copper" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce that it has commenced its Phase 2 Geophysics Program, which includes induced polarization ("IP") and resistivity surveys at its 100%-owned Castilla Project (the "Project"), located approximately 90 km south of Copiapo, Chile.

The IP program follows the Company's recently completed drone magnetic and hyperspectral surveys at Castilla, which outlined multiple kilometre-scale alteration patterns, magnetic bodies and identified a series of quartz-magnetite-copper vein systems at surface (see news release dated July 30, 2026). The next step is IP: it directly responds to the sulphide content of the veins and their potential source and is intended to help define drill targets at the Project.

Highlights:

  • Twelve IP lines, approximately 22 line-kilometres, designed over six priority vein-hosted target areas across the Project.
  • Deep-penetrating pole-dipole array using 50 m dipoles expanded through up to 20 separations (n = 1 to 20), providing resolution on relatively narrow, steeply dipping vein structures while imaging for larger bodies of mineralization at depth.
  • Gradient array test planned over the first vein target to compare results with the pole-dipole array; if effective, the gradient array offers faster, lower-cost coverage of additional vein systems.
  • Fully integrated with existing datasets, IP chargeability and resistivity results will be inverted in 2D and combined with the 3D magnetic vector inversion (MVI) model, hyperspectral alteration mapping and surface sampling to rank drill targets.
  • Estimated survey duration of approximately 20 days, with initial results expected October 2026.

Survey Design

The survey is being conducted by Argali Geofisica EIRL of Antofagasta, Chile, under the supervision of APEX Geoscience Ltd. ("APEX"), the Company's technical consultant. The program comprises twelve lines, each approximately 1.8 to 1.9 km in length, oriented perpendicular to the dominant vein trends and grouped over six target areas identified from the 2023 and 2025 rock sampling programs and the 2026 drone magnetic survey. Line count and length may be extended during the survey based on results.

The survey uses a time-domain pole-dipole configuration with a 50 m dipole spacing expanded through up to 20 separations, giving an effective depth of investigation on the order of several hundred metres. Data will be acquired with a GDD 5.0 kW transmitter and an ElRec Pro 10-channel receiver. Topography across the survey area is moderate, access is available across most of the target areas and ground conditions are expected to be favourable for IP acquisition.

Deliverables will include apparent resistivity and chargeability pseudosections, 2D inverted sections of resistivity and chargeability for each line, a 3D voxel model of the inverted sections and plan views at selected depths. The inverted IP data will be integrated with the Company's MVI model and hyperspectral alteration data to generate a consolidated drill-target ranking for Castilla.
