SMOOTH ROCK ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Vancouver, B.C. December 20, 2019 - Smooth Rock Ventures Corp. (“Smooth Rock ” or the
“Company”) (TSX.V:SOCK) announces the resignation of Mr. Yves Caron as Chief Executive Officer
(“CEO”) and a director of the Company.
“It has been a great privilege to serve Smooth Rock as its CEO , but my interest and expertise lies in the
technical aspects of building successful mining projects,” stated Yves Caron. “Smooth Rock has progressed
rapidly. The addition of new projects and the evolution of the strategy have forced me to decide where I
can best serve the Company and contribute to its success. Whilst it was not an easy decision, I am convinced
that the Company needs more corporate leadership and that will allow me to focus my energy and efforts
where I can contribute the most.”
Michel David, a current director , has been appointed as interim CEO until a recruitment process can
successfully appoint a new CEO. “Yves is a respected and experienced senior geologist” stated Michel
David, Interim CEO. “While I am sure his decision was difficult, his focus on what the Company needs
most and where his greatest talents lie have made his decision understandable. We are grateful Yves will
remain with us as an advisory board member and consultant. We wish Yves well and thank him for his
development efforts in helping us establish a strategic course for the Company.”
