COLONIAL COAL COMMENCES FIELD PROGRAM AT ITS FLATBED COAL PROPERTY

Vancouver, B.C., Canada – July 18, 2017 – Coloni al Coal International Corp. (TSX-V: CAD)

(the “ Corporation” or “ Colonial Coal ”) is pleased to announce the start of its 2017 field

program on its Flatbed Coal Prope rty located in north-eastern British Columbia. Crews are

currently on site for the construction and preparati on of drill sites, with the first of two drill rigs

currently planned to mobilize shortly.

The field program is expected to comprise ap proximately 3600 meters of core drilling, with

associated down-hole geophysical logging, geologi cal core descriptions, coal sampling and

testing, plus geotechnical core logging and coal seam roof-and-floor sampling and testing.

The drilling will test for the pres ence of potentially underground mineable coal seams within the

Gates Formation. This formation is known to ho st surface mineable coking coal seams at the

nearby Trend Mine (Peace River Coal) and prop osed Window open pit (Teck Corp.), which are

located immediately south-west a nd north-west of the Flatbed proj ect, respectively. Geological

mapping will also be undertaken within portions of the project area.
