Maya Gold & Silver Announces a Normal Course

MONTRÉAL, April 29, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE)

“Corporation”) (TSX: MYA) is pleased to announce that the Toronto Stock Excha nge (the

"TSX") has approved the Corporation’s notice of int ention to make a normal course issuer bid

(the “NCIB”), through which the Corporation may pur chase up to 5,567,799 of its common

shares or approx imately 10% of the public float through the facilit ies of the TSX and certain

Alternative Trading Systems. The number of issued a nd outstanding common shares of Maya

was 78,356,675 and the public float was 55,677,993 as of April 23, 2019. Management and th

board of directors believe that the current market price of the common shares of the Corporation

does not reflect absolutely Maya’s underlying value and current & future projects.

The Corporation may purchase shares under the NCIB over a period of twelv

commencing on May 1, 2019, and ending April 30, 2020, when the bid expires. Under the NCIB,

common shares may be repurchased in open market tra nsactions using the market price at the

time of purchase. The actual number of common share s that may be
