ARCHON APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

Archon Minerals Limited (“Archon” or the “Company”) announces that Ross Blusson has retired as a
director of the Company. Mr. Blusson, a geologist and mining executive, has been a member of the board
since Archon’s inception in 1993. To fill the vacancy created by Mr. Blusson’s retirement, the Company
is appointing Masoud Saidi as a director, effective immediately. Dr. Saidi holds Master of Science in
Electronics Engineering from Northeastern University, as well as a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from
the University of British Columbia. Prior to his current occupation as a dentist, Dr. Saidi flew commercial
helicopters for mining exploration support in the Northwest Territories.
