CLINTON SMYTH APPOINTED DIRECTOR, PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF DOLLY VARDEN RESOURCES INC.
Dolly Varden Resources Inc. (“Company”) is very pleased to announce the appointment of Clinton Smyth as a Director and as President and Chief Executive Officer. The Company earlier announced the sad death of Fred Christensen who was, for many years, the Company’s President and CEO. Carl Jonsson was temporarily appointed President and CEO of the Company - but he has now stepped down from those positions and continues as the Company’s Corporate Secretary and Solicitor.
Mr. Smyth, P. Geo, has an MSc. in Geochemistry (Cape Town) and an MSc. in Computer Science (Imperial College, UK). He has 30 years of international experience in mineral exploration, resource evaluation and mining, working in Africa, Asia, Australasia, Mexico and Canada. He was an Anglo American Corporation Vice President of Exploration (Australasia and Africa) until 2000. After moving to Vancouver in 2000 to establish an exploration software and consulting company, he has served as VP Exploration for Dome Ventures Corporation, conducting extensive target generation work in Canada, Australia and Africa, and for Durango Capital Corp, exploring in the Dolly Varden Mining camp area since 2007. He has been active in the Dolly Varden Mining Camp area since staking 550 square kilometers in the area in 2005. He is the President and owner of Georeference Online Ltd. - his consulting company.
