CAVAN ANNOUNCES PRIVATE PLACEMENT EXTENSION

May 16, 2014, VANCOUVER, B.C. – CAVAN VENTURES INC. (TSX-V: CVN) (“Cavan” or “the Company”) further to its news releases of March 28, 2014 and April 10, 2014 the Company wishes to announce that the closing of its non-brokered private placement of 10 million flow through units and 10 million non-flow through units (the "Offering") has been extended by 30 days to allow investors time to complete and deliver their subscription agreements.

All other terms of the Offering remain the same.

The private placement is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
