European Ferro Metals Announces New Directors and Officers
VANCOUVER, BC, June 16, 2014 — European Ferro Metals, Ltd. (CSE: EFM) (the “Company”), a mining exploration and development company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jim MacPherson, Mr. Michael Noonan and Dr. John Veltheer to the Board of Directors of the Company, effective immediately.
Mr. MacPherson has been a consultant for environmental and regulatory affairs for compliance of multi billion dollar projects of companies such as Nexen, Total, Shell and Conoco Philips. Mr. MacPherson is a registered Professional Engineer and holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Montana.
Mr. Noonan has more than 25 years of corporate finance, corporate governance and investor relations experience with publicly traded companies listed in Canada and the United States. Mr. Noonan received a BBA in Business Administration and Economics from Simon Fraser University; an MBA from Athabasca University; and an eJD from Concord School of Law.
Dr. Veltheer has been in the public company arena since 1998 and is currently a director and investor in several public and private companies. Dr. Veltheer obtained his BSc (Honors) from Queen’s University and his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia.
These appointments coincide with the resignations of Ms. Catherine Leblanc, Mr. Jacques Martel, and Mr. Matthew Genovese as directors of the Company. EFM wishes to thank Ms. Leblanc, Mr. Martel, and Mr. Genovese for their contributions and wish them well in their future endeavors.
In conjunction with the new appointments to the board of directors, the Company is pleased to announce Michael Noonan has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and John Veltheer has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer. These appointments fill the voids left by Ms. Leblanc resigning as CEO of the Company, and Samantha Shorter resigning as CFO of the Company. EFM wishes to thank Ms. Leblanc and Ms. Shorter for their service and wish them well in the future.
