Medallion appoints Thomas Arnould as CFO
Medallion Resources Ltd. (MDL: TSX.V) announces that it has appointed Thomas Arnould, CA, as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary to the company.
Mr. Arnould is a graduate from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario, receiving his Chartered Accountant’s designation after articling with Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1982. Since then, he has worked with various private companies in the food processing and distribution and groupbenefits areas where he assisted with the sale of these companies to public entities. More recently, he has worked as a CFO of a private strategicmarketing firm, as a principal with Adler Business Solutions Inc and as the CFO of Securefact Inc. In addition, he consults with other companies on finance and accounting matters.
Medallion Resources Ltd (TSXV: MDL) is exploring for large lowcost “heavy” rareearth element (REE) deposits with a clear metallurgical path and costeffective infrastructure. REE’s are key components required by many new energysaving technologies including wind turbines, electric and hybrid vehicles, super magnets and all modern electronics. Medallion is headed by REE veteran Dr Bill Bird with support from an expert technical team that can meet the challenges of evaluating and costeffectively exploring the best REE projects.
Medallion explores the Eden Lake REE property in western Manitoba, under an option agreement with Rare Element Resources (AMEX: REE, TSXV: RES) to earn a 65% interest. Eden Lake is a recent discovery with potential for high neodymium values and significant heavy REE byproducts.
The Company also explores over 42 square kilometres of the Red Wine peralkaline intrusion in southern Labrador under an agreement to option six mineral licenses. The Red Wine intrusion is known to contain elevated values of the “heavy” REE’s.
