Laurion Announces Intention to Trade on the OTCQX

TORONTO  –  October  21,  2010  –  Laurion  Mineral  Exploration  Inc.  (TSXV:  LME  and  LMEFF:  US)  (“Laurion”)  is pleased to announce that it has filed an application to list its common shares in the U.S. on the OTCQX tier of the U.S. over the counter‐market (the “OTC”) under the ticker symbol LMEFF.  If Laurion’s application is accepted by the  OTCQX  and  trading  commences,  investors  will  be  able  find  real‐time  quotes,  disclosure  and  financial information about Laurion on www.otcqx.com.  Laurion’s common shares are currently quoted on the Pink Sheets in the U.S. under the symbol LMEFF.

Cynthia Le Sueur‐Aquin, President and CEO of Laurion, commented: "We are very pleased to be working toward providing our U.S. investors with an alternative trading platform for our common shares and believe this is an important step toward increasing Laurion's visibility within the US market.  This is of particular importance to us as we expand our exploration activities on the Bell Mountain Project in Nevada."

It is expected that Dorsey Whitney LLP will serve as Laurion’s Principal American Liaison ("PAL") on the OTCQX and will be responsible for providing guidance to Laurion on its listing requirements.

Laurion’s trading on the OTCQX is conditional upon, among other things, acceptance of Laurion’s application by the OTCQX,  the  appointment  of  a  PAL  to  act  on  behalf  of  Laurion  and  the  fulfillment  by  Laurion  of  certain  other conditions of listing.  It is expected that Laurion’s application process will be completed within the next few weeks.
