Centerra Gold to Hold Annual General Meeting on Wednesday May 19, 2010

TORONTO, CANADA – April 28, 2010 – Centerra Gold Inc. (TSX: CG) will hold its 2010 Annual Shareholders Meeting on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Esso Theatre, Hockey Hall of Fame, Toronto, Ontario. The meeting materials (Notice of Meeting, Management Information Circular, 2009 Annual Report, and Form of Proxy) were mailed on April 28, 2010 to shareholders of record on March 26, 2010, being the record date for the meeting. Meeting materials will also be made available on the Company’s website at www.centerragold.com and on SEDAR at www.sedar.com.

At the meeting, the Company will review its performance from 2009.
