Hawthorn Resources Appoints New Director

Vancouver, Canada, April 3, 2023 – Hawthorn Resources Corp. (CSE: HWTN) (the “Company”

or “Hawthorn”) is pleased to an nounce the appointment of Mr. Kevin Brewer , P. Geo., as a new

director to Hawthorn.

“Mr. Brewer’s experience with silver exploration will be an asset to Hawthorn. Based in Cancun,

Mexico, Kevin’s local network gives him access to a pipeline of projects and people”, Daniel Joyce,

President & CEO.

Kevin Brewer, is a registered professional geoscientist with over 30 years of progressive

managerial positions and extensive exposure to all aspects of exploration, project management,

environment management and mine engineering. He is currently the President and Chief Executive

Officer of CMC Metals Ltd., a growth stage company focused on the exploration of precious and

base metals in Canada.

He is also the founder and Chief Geologist of 39627 Yukon Inc. (an exploration management

company), and is currently a Company Advisor to Lionheart Exploration Ltd. He has also recently

been the former General Manager of Largo Resources Ltd. (2008-2015) and managed exploration

operations for Castillian Resources Corp., Yukoterre Resources Inc., Cash Minerals Ltd. and

Sourdough Re sources Inc. He holds degrees of Bachelor of Science (Honours), Masters of

Business and Administration, and a Diploma of Mine Engineering.

The Company also announces that Geoffrey Schellenberg has resigned as VP Projects and Director

of the Company. The Board would like to thank him for his contributions and wishes him all the

best in his future endeavours.
